Tally charts and Pictograms

The title of our blog links to our learning in computing. We have spent some time exploring what a tally chart and pictogram is and how to use them to collect data. This week, we made tally charts of our own and used the data presented to create pictograms on the computer.

During our English lessons this week we discussed and explored why authors use adjectives, adverbs and adverbials. We played a game called Silly Sentence and practised making detailed sentences.

Thank you to everyone who attended parents evening, it was lovely to share your child’s learning with you. Myself and Mrs Simpson-Jones mentioned either practising number bonds to 10 and 20 or the 2, 5 and 10 times tables so we have some recommended games set up as 2Dos on Purple Mash.
