TRUMPETS!

Red Kites had their first trumpet lesson this week. They focussed on breathing and blowing to make a sound. It was very noisy but sounded great!

“I found it exciting, and loud but really great that every one was able to play together!” Emily.

BIKEABILITY WORKSHOP

On Wednesday Red Kites went up to the Chaddleworth for their Bikeability workshop. They learnt lots about road safety, how to keep safe as a cyclist and also how to repair a puncture.

In French, this week the children continued learning how to order food and drink, building up their fluency of breakfast options and moving onto lunch and afternoon snacks. They’re showing great improvement speaking confidently and understanding others!

Maths and English

The children have continued to impress me with their brilliant ‘have a go’ attitudes, channeling their learning power into all they do as we have taken more time to practice out long division skills in order to crack multi step problem solving. Next week we will continue using our division and times tables to step deeper into our fractions knowledge.

In English we have been developing language in order to create powerful setting descriptions, focussing on the senses and bringing our ideas together cohesively.

Next week is parents evening - I look forward to meeting with you all and celebrating the children’s successes. Have a lovely weekend, stay warm and enjoy the frosty sunshine!
