With SATs revision underway and everyone working hard in Red Kites, it was great to have a visit from these chicks. We observed their behaviour - when they were tired they just shut down on the spot, still standing! And we found out what you need to do to care for chicks (and hens) properly. They wash in a dirt bath, the eat grit to help digest their food and you have to make sure they have a safe perch, away from predators like foxes. Thank you for bringing them in - we loved it!
