It's term 6

Wow what a busy first week back we have had!

In Reading, we have started whole class guided reading, which is all around the book The Diary of a Killer Cat. This week we discovered what type of cat Tuffy really is and some of the things he gets up to.

In Writing, we explored what an instruction text is and imitated a modelled example about how to trap a stone giant. Next week we will plan our own innovated version for how to catch a mouse.

In Science, we compared the similarities and differences between different living things. How are a banana leaf and an elephant similar?

In Music, we have our first ever harp concert. It was lovely to hear and discuss the differences between each song. We heard songs from England, Ireland, Scotland and Wales.

Children in Kingfishers have until Wednesday 14th June to bring in their completed Half Term homework in order to receive their special certificate and sticker.
