Independence vs Teamwork

We are so proud of the Kingfishers this week and all their efforts to not only show off what they could do independently but what they can do when working in a team.

In Spelling, we explored the different spelling rules we follow when adding the suffixes -ment and -ness to a root word. For example, when adding -ment to the root word “enjoy”, there is no change needed, but when adding -ness to the root word “lovely”, there is a change. This week’s homework includes words using these suffixes as well as some words we are finding a bit trickier to spell.

In Maths, we worked independently and in groups to discover how to tell the time to the o’clock and half past. We created our own clocks and reasoned as to how we know what time the clock says.

In PE, we worked in groups to learn how to do French Skipping.

This week we merged our Big Write and RE lessons together so that we could create our own stories about a character who changes to become a better person.
