Who are they?

A Weekend Wonder:

If you fancy a challenge this weekend, why not create your own treasure map! This could be a photo, a drawing or bring in your map or your treasure. Remember you may need to make some treasure for the person following your map to find. Don’t forget you can upload your pictures to the Teams assignment or bring it in ready for show and tell on Monday!

It has been a fantastic week and we have been continuing to learn lots of new things.

We are very proud of Kingfishers and how independent they have been in phonics this week.

Year 1 have been looking at alternative phonemes for ch and u.

Year 2 have been exploring adding a suffix to words ending in y and adding the prefixes un and dis.

This week we have started our journey to explore the different features of a narrative. We have focused on adjectives and adverbs this week.

We have also been exploring 3D shapes in maths and discovering how to describe, sort and make patterns with different 3D shapes. Next week we will be exploring fractions.

This week in Topic we started our new topic The Victorians. We created a timeline to show where The Victorians fit in with the other topics we have learnt about. We also discussed what we knew about the Victorians. We found it very interesting and are enjoying learning more from the books in the classroom. Below is a link to some information about The Victorians if you would like to find out some more:

In computing Kingfishers created their own algorithms to follow and make their way from one side of the map to another. Here are some of our algorithms:

We were very lucky this week to meet some incredible fluffy friends. Every Kingfisher was able to hold and spend some time with a chick.
