Ask your children, what is our new class book?
It’s been a busy first full week back and we have done lots of learning to start our term topic of Starry Night.
We started off the week exploring our science (Everyday Materials) and learnt the difference between an object and a material. Miss Rignall challenged the children to explain why a table made out of wood is better than a table made out of jelly. We decided wood is better, but what do you think?
We had lots of opportunities to use our cool area (even though it wasn’t very cool!) and Choose Our Own Learning.
In history, we remembered key individuals and events that we had previously learnt about. We used this information to create a timeline.
In Art, we learnt who painted Starry Night. We placed a mini frame over our own copy of the painting and carefully tried to recreate the part inside the mini frame.
