Friday 11th March

Although it has been a quiet week in Red Kites class, there has been plenty of learning both in school and at home!

We had a think about what we already know about electricity and also what we wanted to find out. We already knew how to create a circuit:

One of the questions we want to find out about is ‘Does electricity makes things explode?’ We hope not! But maybe there are times when this is helpful or times when we can make it safer so that things don’t explode.

We watched Newsround and used Agree, Build, Challenge to talk about what is happening in Ukraine. We learnt about what an oligarch is and why some companies are not working in Russia at the moment. We thought about the Russians and how it isn’t everyone in Russia who wants to take part in the war.

A Wonder for the Weekend! We are designing a toy car in school. How many different types of wheels are there? Draw or photograph them. On Newsround they asked children to vote whether they think there are more doors than wheels or more wheels than doors. What do you think?
