Rapunzel, Rapunzel, let down your hair!
Red Kites had a wonderful time in the front row of the Watermill Theatre in Newbury watching that fantastic production of Rapunzel. They were so impressed by the talent and enjoyed the music, singing and humour! On return, the children completed a Free Write from how inspired they were from this theatre production - some brilliant pieces of writing were created.
BACK TO YOU IN THE STUDIO…
As part of our newspaper report learning, to capture feeling and power with our writing we orally rehearsed our interviews through drama. Some excellent questioning skills and brilliant improvisation!
GLUED TO OUR BOOKS
This week, we saw the return of West Berkshire Library Van. The children were eager to return their books and choose another, share and spread their love of reading. Choosing between two books was a bit tricky for some of us! Next time…. (The library van will be back on 15th December)
PIVOT!
This term in PE, Red Kites are learning to play netball and they are loving it! Great team work is developing as well as our throwing, catching and aiming skills. A lovely way to end our Friday afternoons.
